Community Bus Services in Worcestershire are run by not-for-profit operators using paid or voluntary drivers and can operate in two ways:
- Under a Section 19 permit serving a community or communities with a route running to an approximate timetable. Journeys always need to be pre-booked with the operator who will confirm pick-up and return times. Worcestershire Concessionary Bus pass holders are entitled to a reduced fare.
- Under a Section 22 permit operating to a fixed timetable and running as a registered local bus service. These do not need to be pre-booked and can stop at existing bus stops. National Concessionary Bus passes are accepted on such services.
